Today was my first day out to check the gardens and plant new seeds. What I found blooming was a special treat for me since the harsh winter weather left us very little early spring blooms. I surveyed the new garden site and found that the water was receding and had left some special plants alive and blooming.
As I post these pictures be aware that if I had a birds eye view from above I do believe I would see many little pockets of our special seeds growing, but do to the high native vegetation some of my views are blocked. I plan on wearing long pants and boots next time and foraging through the territory to capture a more comprehensive tally of what is growing.
The grasshoppers are here and within a few months will have most of the native vegetation reduced to more manageable levels. Many of the vines are growing but few are blooming due to a lack of moisture. Rain is predicted for perhaps Monday or Tuesday. Enjoy the visual update.
